This webinar will explore the traditional measures used to measure the economic contribution of health care to rural places. In addition, the presenters will provide best practices for communicating the value of health care institutions to key stakeholders.

The webinar will focus on the importance of rural hospitals to a rural community, the consequences from hospital closures, and the economic importance of other key aspects of the health care sector including clinics, specialists, and transportation systems.

Following the session, participants will be able to: articulate and communicate the traditional measures of the economic impact of hospitals and health care systems on rural communities. In addition, participants will consider other techniques and measures that also capture the value of rural health care.
